Ajinkya Shinde Says CJP Is Not Afraid of Government Restrictions

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leader Ajinkya Shinde has vowed to continue the organisation’s protest in Delhi despite the detention of senior leaders ahead of a planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar on October 10, 2026. Shinde was named to lead the protest after CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and two other leaders were detained upon arriving in Delhi.
In a video message, Shinde criticised the government’s actions and accused the authorities of attempting to prevent people from joining the demonstration. He urged supporters to continue towards Jantar Mantar and said that any location where police stopped them could become an alternative protest site.
The demonstration was planned to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. CJP and other critics have raised concerns about voter registration and possible exclusions, while the election authorities’ voter-revision process remains at the centre of the dispute.
Shinde’s remarks came amid heightened security across the national capital and reports of multiple detentions. His comments reflect the organisation’s stated intention to continue its campaign despite police restrictions. The allegations of voter-list irregularities and claims about the government’s motives remain disputed and should not be treated as independently established findings.
