Eknath Shinde Meets Tiger Shroff After Juhu Firing Incident

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff at his Mumbai residence on Sunday night, October 18, 2026, following a firing incident in the city’s Juhu area. The meeting came after gunmen reportedly opened fire near the actor’s vehicle, prompting a police investigation.

Photographs from the meeting showed Tiger Shroff sitting alongside Shinde with bandages on his arm and dressings on his shoulder and chest. The images were among the first visuals of the actor after the incident and raised questions about the injuries he had sustained.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Shinde said five rounds had been fired during the incident. He described the episode as serious and condemned the attack, while assuring Tiger Shroff and his family that the Maharashtra government would provide necessary support.

Shinde also warned that threats and criminal intimidation would not be tolerated in Mumbai. He said the authorities would take action against those responsible, stressing the need to prevent criminal gangs from creating fear in the city.

According to reports, Tiger sustained minor injuries linked to gunpowder and glass fragments, but he did not suffer a gunshot wound. His driver was also injured during the incident. The actor was examined and later discharged, according to media reports citing hospital sources.

The firing reportedly took place near Pushpa Park in Juhu on Sunday evening. Mumbai Police registered a case against unidentified suspects and began examining CCTV footage and other evidence to establish how the attack unfolded and identify those involved.

Police also seized a motorcycle suspected of being connected to the incident, while investigation teams continued efforts to trace the alleged shooters. Authorities had not publicly established a motive for the firing at the time of the latest reports.

A social media post claiming a connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang circulated after the incident. However, reports said the authenticity of the post had not been verified by police, so the alleged connection should be treated as unconfirmed while the investigation continues.
