Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Attack on Riyadh Airport

Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement claimed on Thursday that it launched a ballistic missile at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The group said the attack targeted the airport amid escalating fighting in the region. Saudi Arabia had not immediately confirmed the latest claim.
The claim came hours after Saudi authorities reported that an earlier attack on King Khalid International Airport had killed one person and injured eight others. The incident was part of a wider series of attacks targeting Saudi airports.
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said attacks on King Khalid and Abha airports on October 6 and 7 killed three people and injured 36. Two women, from Morocco and Algeria, were killed in the Abha attack, while a Sudanese national died in Riyadh.
The latest developments mark a sharp escalation in the conflict involving the Houthis and Saudi-backed forces. The attacks have also raised concerns over civilian aviation and flight disruptions across the region as military tensions continue to intensify.
